data_sciesotist (@data_sciesotist; 32): Rとblogdownでかんたんにgithub.io上にブログを使ってみよう!! https://t.co/AS9DDNjgnG

James Day, PhD (@jamesday87; 22): Thinking of moving my @plusSixOneblog from Wordpress to #blogdown. Anyone had any experience with doing this? #rstats

Giuliano Sposito (@gsposito; 20): #Blogdown (and @GithubPages) or @Medium , @Blogger and similars? What are the efforts, flexibility and readability when envolving #code and #markdown ? #startingwrite about #rstat #lean and #agile

Jeff Hollister (@jhollist; 20): @MikeTreglia @ma_salmon @rweekly_live Be interested to see what you come up with. I’ve had a hankering to switch my site and convert to blogdown.

Analysis of AFL (@anoafl; 20): @alicesweeting @jamesday87 @plusSixOneblog I moved my blog! it was painful.

But now I think some good links are: https://t.co/UMDZMetxVD https://t.co/aKXs8EbBuJ

which in retrospect would have saved me lots of time.

Ivan (@privlko; 10): @jamesday87 @plusSixOneblog Im in the process! The blogdown book is a great resource but definitely contains a learning curve

Jacquie Tran (@jacquietran; 10): @alicesweeting @jamesday87 @plusSixOneblog I haven’t moved from WP to blogdown, but highly recommend blogdown so I think it’s worth the pain of migrating!

Gordon Shotwell (@gshotwell; 0/1): @jamesday87 @plusSixOneblog I haven’t done this but I would look for how to convert wordpress to markdown, then going from markdown to blogdown is pretty straightforward. Something like this maybe? https://t.co/h32fHxwbVl

Geeks Chicago.biz (@Geekschicagobiz; 0/0): @jamesday87 @plusSixOneblog Hi James, we are specialize in the same. Feel free to reach out incase you are looking for any help with migrating your #wordpress #blog to #blogdown . Lets connect and i will share our work references info@geekschicago.biz

bookdown

Ben Marwick (@benmarwick; 41): @gokhan_ciflikli We use bookdown with https://t.co/HXivgDVFOB to help with beautiful PDF output for PhD theses written in #rstats markdown

🌍 Phil (@philmikejones; 10): @ucfagls Gah! I do that so the time with main. Rmd when I make a mistake in bookdown

Chris Tufts (@devlintufts; 0/1): Anyone ever run into this? Using #Rstats #Bookdown - gitbook renders mathjax correctly in chrome on local machine/file, but via github pages doesn’t render mathjax on chrome or firefox, but does render on safari.

James Goldie (@rensa_co; 0/0): @gokhan_ciflikli @old_man_chester (Unfortunately, the operative part of the phrase is ‘write my thesis’, not ‘in #bookdown’ 😥)

Adam Orr (i love porgs) (@AdamJOrr; 0/0): when you’re reading a bookdown book but it’s closed source so you can’t open a pull request when you see a typo 😩

knitr

lionel (@_lionelhenry; 10): @tslumley This has bit us in situations involving knitr. The roundtrip parse → deparse → parse is lossy :/ rlang now has a deparser that does a better job of adding parentheses only when necessary

Alex W. Bajcz (@Fruit_Ecology; 10): @kwbroman @datacarpentry @UWMadison Thanks @kwbroman! It was fun, and I enjoyed getting to watch you teach also. You may have convinced me to give knitr another shot :).

Ingo Rohlfing (@ingorohlfing; 0/1): @f2harrell @DiegoKuonen @ThomasSpeidel Requires a little bit more typing, but you can use #dplyr https://t.co/UUULdzOhld #rstats Then knitr::kable for polished table?

Imke Feldmann (@TheBIccountant; 0/0): @EscobarMiguel90 That would be a really exotic use case for R: https://t.co/4Zgccug4Jk My function converts text in pdf files into rows and returns them in a table (dataframe): Non-characters are ignored and tables will be converted to rows as well :)
